The structure has 30 storeys above ground level, and is 125 metres high. Its total area is about 69000 square metres, consisting of a shopping centre, a cinema and a fitness club, as well as a hotel and office space. The ALTUS building consists of three cuboids sharing a spacious, 4-storey-high atrium. The second part of the building is 18 storeys, and the third 29 storeys high. The building holds: - in the basement - a 3-level, state-of-the-art underground car park with 560 parking spaces, - in the lower part (storeys 1 to 4) - a shopping centre including among others: a bank, a restaurant, the Qubus Hotel lobby and conference rooms. It is this part of the building where the Helios Cinema with its 9 screening rooms is located. The Gymnasion Fitness Club takes up the majority of the fourth floor. - in the higher part (storeys 5 to 18) - office space, meeting A-class requirements, with a total area of 13 231 square metres. The way the building was designed enables office area to be used as open space offices or to be divided into modules of different sizes, - in the highest part - the 5-star QUBUS HOTEL ***** Prestige, - on the 27th floor - the Sky Bar and luxury suites. ALTUS is a so-called intelligent building, meeting the most rigorous quality and safety standards. Here are just a few of its security devices: - The Building Management System (BMS), which operates and monitors the performance of all installations in the building, - a state-of-the-art heating and air-conditioning system - structural computer and telecommunication networks (satellite connections, fibre-optic cable), - a security access system, a burglar alarm and 24-hour CCTV camera monitoring system, - a fully integrated fire protection system consisting of fire sensors, a smoke extraction system, emergency lighting and sprinklers. Altus also has an automatic incident reporting system which instantly informs the Fire Brigade and the tenants in the building - by means of numerous loud speakers- about the fire. - escalators in the atrium connecting different floors, - raised floors and suspended ceilings, - 18 lifts and 6 escalators meeting the most rigorous technical standards.
